My portfolio showcases the culmination of my educational journey as a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications at the University of Florida following my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology I earned in May 2023. Today, my academic focus is exploring the dynamic realms of Public Relations and Digital Marketing where I’m learning the art of driving results through strategic communication and storytelling.
The University of Florida has provided me with an extraordinary platform to learn from exceptional professors whom I greatly admire. I am in the midst of a special phase of life where I am encouraged daily to reconnect with my innate creativity and then challenged to use my critical thinking skills to produce work I am proud of. At the forefront of my mind is always gratitude; to be filled with enthusiasm for the work I engage in, and to be driven by an unwavering desire to continually enhance my abilities.

I provided an executive summary for L'Oréal, outlining its goals and introducing my proposed campaign. I conducted a thorough examination of competitors and market share, followed by a detailed analysis of the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. I outlined strategies and tactics, established campaign goals, identified relevant public and audiences, and recommended communication tools. I also devised Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks, incorporated the use of data for measurement, and proposed the cost and timeline of the campaign.
Throughout this course, I honed the skill of effectively narrating stories through data and extracting insights that contribute to achieving an organization's goals. I gained a clear understanding of the critical role that measurement and evaluation play in assessing the effectiveness of communications and marketing efforts, ensuring alignment with key business objectives, such as revenue generation and enhancing brand visibility.

For this portion of the final project, I crafted a PowerPoint presentation detailing hypothetical metrics and measurements for the proposed campaign. Tailored for C-Suite professionals, the presentation highlights the campaign's value and explains the significance of tracking the selected KPIs and metrics.

This course enhanced my copywriting skills for effective marketing, focusing on differentiating messages in a competitive landscape, marketing to resonate with consumers, and creating cohesive brand stories. Emphasizing collaboration between design and copy, I gained valuable insight into creating digital marketing content and writing for a brand to establish brand identity.

In the final project, I assumed the role of the VP of Marketing for a landscaping company. My presentation featured a comprehensive company overview and established brand guidelines for consistency. I crafted digital marketing content supported by strategic tactics and identified the impact of the proposed marketing plan, specifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure to ensure a positive return on investment for the company.

In this course, I developed expertise in strategic communications with a focus on public relations campaign planning. I analyzed research findings, crafted messages for target audiences, established measurable outcomes, and evaluated assessments for my proposed campaign. The curriculum equipped me to identify opportunities and challenges influencing public opinion as well as select engaging tactics to resonate with diverse audiences.

In developing a strategic communications plan, I meticulously analyzed and segmented target audiences to shape messaging and integrate deliverables for a non-profit organization. The focus of the campaign was to empower adolescents to engage in open conversations about mental health. I crafted impactful press releases to convey key messages, curated mock social media posts to foster audience engagement, and formulated an editorial calendar for efficient content creation and distribution. Leveraging demographic and psychographic data, I identified campaign challenges and opportunities, refining communication strategies for optimal impact.
